A rare chance to see and hear members of John Lennon's Original Quarrymen from 1956-1959 in conversation with musician, songwriter and activist Billy Bragg.
They will be sharing stories and anecdotes of working and playing with John Lennon, Paul McCartney and George Harrison as they performed in the seminal skiffle band that preceded and led to the evolution of The Beatles.
The Quarrymen were the band who were on stage with John Lennon on Saturday July 6th, 1957, the day John met Paul McCartney and here is a rare opportunity to see original members of John Lennon’s original Quarrymen live in conversation discussing their part in the story of the most successful band of all time.
Rod Davis (original banjo player 1956-57) and Colin Hanton (drums 1956-59) along with Chas Newby, (bass with The Beatles in Dec 1960) witnessed firsthand to the birth of Beatlemania.
